I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted for who you are. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in West Virginia and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, ADHD, bipolar disorder, anger, life transitions, and other emotional and mental health challenges.

My experience in community mental health has given me the opportunity to work with people from diverse backgrounds and across many stages of life. I understand that the experiences bringing someone to therapy—and what they need from the process—can look very different from person to person. My goal is to create a space where you can show up authentically and feel respected, supported, and understood as we determine what healing and growth look like for you.

I have a particular interest in trauma-informed therapy and PTSD treatment, helping clients understand how difficult or overwhelming experiences can continue to affect emotions, relationships, behaviors, and everyday life. Whether you are processing past trauma, grieving a loss, struggling with anxiety or depression, managing ADHD or overwhelming emotions, or adjusting to a significant life change, therapy can provide space to better understand what you are experiencing and develop tools that make life feel more manageable.

I also enjoy working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community and strive to provide affirming and inclusive counseling where clients can safely explore identity, relationships, life experiences, and personal goals without judgment.

My therapeutic approach is primarily person-centered and trauma-informed, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, and mindfulness techniques based on each client’s individual needs and goals. I don’t believe therapy should follow a one-size-fits-all formula. Instead, we will work collaboratively to recognize your strengths, identify meaningful goals, develop healthy coping strategies, and find practical ways to navigate the challenges you are facing.

Through a trauma-informed approach, I prioritize safety, trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment throughout the therapeutic process. Therapy is not about someone else telling you how your life should look—it is about having support as you better understand yourself and determine what meaningful change looks like for you.

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from West Virginia University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in West Virginia and National Certified Counselor (NCC).

Whether you are processing past experiences, managing difficult emotions, navigating a major life transition, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, you do not have to figure everything out on your own. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel difficult, and my goal is to make that next step feel a little more approachable.
